Counsel Sheila Nabatte LLB(Hons), Dip.LP-LDC

Sheila pursued a Bachelor of Laws at Nkumba University Uganda and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Law Development Centre Uganda. Sheila is a certified Mediator. She trained in Advanced Mediation Practice and acquired a Certificate in Advanced Mediation Practice Training for Mediators awarded by the Arbitration & Mediation Society of Uganda (AMSU) and Makerere University Business School (MUBS). Sheila is a counsel who is very keen on developing her career in Alternative Dispute Resolution and she is the coordinator of the Youth Alternative Dispute Resolution Forum a project of AMSU that aims at supporting and encouraging young people to resolve disputes though ADR.

Sheila is a regular panelist on AMSU’s legal and ADR radio shows on Impact FM radio and Metro FM radio programs aiming at creating ADR awareness and the law in Uganda. Sheila’s main ambition is to ensure that the people of Uganda most especially the youth and those in remote areas become aware of Alternative Dispute Resolution to get better solutions from cases that may arise from different aspects of life for unity, better and easy access to Justice, and also reduce on the case backlog in Uganda.
