Ms. Cissy Kinaawa Ayebi

Senior Trainer and mediator

Cissy is a highly qualified and recognized international trainer with a wealth of experience and expertise knowledge in mediation and arbitration work. She holds a master’s degree in Peace and Conflict studies from European Peace University Austria (2010) and holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Makerere (1997).  Cissy has engaged in further Studies in Mediation and Arbitration at the Centre for Legal excellence Kampala Uganda, Human rights and Conflict Resolution from Banjul the Gambia, Koffi Anan Peace Centre in Ghana, Johannesburg SA, Hawai’i USA.

Cissy has more than 20 years’ work experience:  She serves as a Board Member for Centre for Conflict Resolution Uganda (CECORE); worked as a Safeguarding Advisor with Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) Uganda; worked as a counsellor for key health organizations in Uganda and worked with the African Union United Nations Hybrid Mission in Darfur (Sudan) as a Human Rights Officer, dealing with trainings as well as working as a counsellor.  Cissy has also done voluntary work overseas in Cambodia as a public health promotions officer and Human Rights Trainer. Cissy is very enthusiastic in developing and practicing

Mediation and Arbitration Work and she is one of AMSU’s most valued trainers.
