Company Secretary and Trainer (AMSU)

Mrs Margaret Mirembe Muwanga

Margaret is the acting Company Secretary of the Arbitration and Mediation Society of Uganda (AMSU) and she is also one of the trainers in Mediation. Margaret is a qualified social worker with over 15 years of work experience; she holds a university degree in Social Worker and Social Administration. She also has a Master’s degree in Public Administration.
Currently, Margaret also works as an administrator with Uganda Christian University where she previously worked as a lecturer in the Faculty of Social Sciences and in the Department of Foundation studies for over 12 years teaching students the importance of ethics in their professions. Margaret has led several community groups in churches where she has supported several start-up projects for vulnerable individuals, families, and groups in the community to develop and she has always supported them to acquire long-lasting cohesion relations.
Margaret is a very valuable member of AMSU; she is extremely dedicated to the development of peaceful conflict resolution mechanisms in societies hence her passion for the development of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Margaret says she wants to see disputes resolved in an amicable manner to ensure that conflict does not damage relationships.
