Counsel Frances K N Ddungu (Smith) 

LLB (Hons), Pg Dip (Legal Practice), LLM Transnational Energy, Oil, and GasFrances is the Chief Executive Officer and the Founder of The Arbitration and Mediation Society of Uganda. She is a practicing Legal Counsel in Uganda and a High Court Advocate. Fran was also admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and has over 10 years of legal experience in representing Local Governments and private clients in the UK with a very high success rate of cases. Frances has a warm personality, an effective leader and she is highly respected in the legal profession who is regarded as a prominent international business lawyer and arbitration counsel that has dealt with various disputes. Frances is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) in The UK and a member of the Africa Arbitration Association. She is also a member of The Law Society (UK), East Africa Law Society, and an active member of the Uganda Law Society who serves on the Arbitration Law Cluster as well as the Family law Cluster.
